Surf Accounts offers the following sales reports. You can generate the reports by specifying one or more criteria.
If the business is school type, the report heading changes from SALES to INCOME. |

Invoice / Credit Note Report
This report shows a summary of all invoices and credit notes within a time-period based on filters you set. To generate the report, complete the following steps.
- Log in to Surf Accounts. The Business page appears.
- On the Business page, locate the required business by completing either of the following steps.

- In the Search box on the top right corner, enter the name of the business fully or partially and click . The business summary will appear under the Select a Business heading.
- The business summary is available under the Select a Business heading. If you cannot find it, at the bottom-right corner of the page, click 100 to increase the number of records to be displayed on the page. The business summary will be available under the Select a Business heading.

- Under the Select a Business heading, click the name of the business.
- The Customers page appears. On the Customers page, in the left panel, click Reports.
- Optional Step. The Reports page appears. To view all reports on the Reports page, click [More Reports].
- On the Reports page, under the SALES heading, click Invoice / Credit Note Report.
- The Sales Invoice/Credit Note Report page appears. Enter the following details.

To add or remove columns in the report, click [Advanced Settings] and then from Advanced Settings window, add or remove the required columns and click [Update]. To print the report, click [Print]. To save the report in the excel format, click [Excel]. To save the report to the local disk in the PDF format, click [Save]. To email the report, click the [Email]. |
Customer Statements
- The business sends statements to its customers at pre-configured frequencies. This report generates the summary of customer balance statements based on the filter you set. To generate the report, complete the following steps.
- Complete the steps 1 to 5 as given in Invoice / Credit Note Report.
- On the Reports page, under the SALES heading, click Customer Statements.
- The Customer Statement page appears. On the Customer Statement page, enter the following details.
FIELD STEP TYPE Select the type of report you want. Click and select a pre-configured date range. DATE TO Select the date till which you want to generate the report. You can set the date up to 5 years beyond the current set accounting period. CURRENCY Select the currency. CUSTOMER FROM Select the customer from which you want to generate the report. CUSTOMER TO Select the customer till which you want to generate the report. SORT Select the required value. SUPPRESS ZERO BALANCE Select if applicable.
- To generate the report, click [Run].

Customer Accounts
- This report generates an overview of all customer accounts based on the criteria you set.
- Complete steps 1 to 5 as given in Invoice / Credit Note Report.
- On the Reports page, under the SALES heading, click Customer Accounts Report.
- The Customer Statement page appears. On the Customer Account Card Report page, enter the following details.

Aged Customer Balances
- The Aged Customer Report will generate reports regarding the amount receivable from your customer. The account receivable arises when goods or service are provided on credit. Surf Accounts provides a dynamic feature where you can generate the Aged customer Report on a periodical structure. The aging balance report will list each customer’s outstanding balance and will then sort the total amount into columns such as Current, 30 days past due, 60 days past due, 90 days past due 120 days past due and so on. The objective of the Report allows the user or the account manager to have a quick look on the entire outstanding invoices of the customers.
- Complete steps 1 to 5 as given in Invoice / Credit Note Report.
- On the Reports page, under the SALES heading, click Aged Customer Balances.
- The Aged Customer Balances Report page appears. On the Aged Customer Balances Report page, enter the following details.

DATE TO | To generate the aged customer report you can select the Date column to specify the period. For e.g. if you wish to generate the report on a particular day select the date by using the calendar. By keeping the date range blank it will generate the report till date. In the report, the current date will appear as “Date Range”. When you open a report for the first time, the end date is the last month of the financial year respectively by default. If you change the dates, the report retains the changes until the next change. You can set the date up to 5 years beyond the current set accounting period. |

Customisation of the Aged Customer Report
- From the “Advanced Settings” user can include or exclude different columns to customise the report as per the business requirement. This includes the “Account Manager”, “Unallocated”, “Customer Code”, “Customer Name”, Current, Balance, and columns for the outstanding period (for e.g. 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days, 150 days and 180 days). Select the column as per the business requirement so that Customer Aged Balance can display the relevant information.
- Sort the Report
- You can sort the report by the “Customer Code“,” Account Manager”, “Customer’s Name” and the “Balance” of the Report.
- Suppress by Zero
- If the invoices are already paid and not appears under the outstanding column, then by selecting “Suppress by Zero” the invoice will not appear in the “Customer Aged Report” as it is already allocated with a receipt.

Invoice Details Report
- This report generates the summary or details of invoices generated specific to products and customers depending on the criteria you set. You can generate summary or detailed invoice by specifying product code, category or analysis code. To generate the report, complete the steps.
- Complete steps 1 to 5 as given in Invoice / Credit Note Report.
- On the Reports page, under the SALES heading, click Invoice Details Report.
- The Customer Invoice Details Report page appears. On the Customer Invoice Details Report page, enter the following details.

Invoice Margin Report
- This report shows the difference between the sales price and the purchase price of products and gives the percentage of the margin. To generate the report, complete the following steps.

- On the Reports page, under the SALES heading, click Invoice Margin Report.
- The Customer Invoice Margin Report page appears. On the Customer Invoice Margin Report page, enter the following details.
